Pray for the Boy Scouts of America!

Boy Scouts of America President Robert Gates said on Thursday the group’s ban on adult gay leaders cannot be sustained, a move that could open the door to ending the policy that has caused rifts in the 105-year-old organization.

I want to remind Mr. Gates of the Boy Scout Oath

“On my honor I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my countryboy scout
and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.”

Duty to God, and country, and to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight!

This is right of every individual and organization in the United States of America to uphold what their majority believes. This is the 1st amendment and the pursuit of happiness!

He further said “We must deal with the world as it is, not as we might wish it to be. The status quo in our movement’s membership standards cannot be sustained,” said Gates.

My question to Mr. Gates and all those who socially pressure those who may believe that homosexual lifestyle is against their moral beliefs, why must we accept the world the way it is, why not change it! Why is it that the rights of a few out weigh the rights of many? We still live in a democratic society. Many people within the boys scouts organization believes that the ban on adult gay leaders should be upheld, is this not their right to believe so?

I pray that Mr. Gates reconsiders and recognizes the rights of the majority in this case. I also pray the Boy scouts of America stand firm on their God given heritage, beliefs, and never give in to social pressure. Please continue to teach and guide those high moral principles so that our young men will become morally, mentally and physically strong men. God bless the BSA!
